Mediterranean Matisse(S)

Lecture in the presence of the curator of the exhibition “Masisse Méditerranée(S): Aymeric Jeudy, director of the Matisse Nice Museum, associate researcher at the Centre de la Méditerranée Moderne et Contemporaine (Unité Propre de Recherche – UPR – 1193 – Université Nice Côte d’Azur).

The exhibition aims to reconsider Matisse’s work in the prism of the Mediterranean and its iconic places. It traces through various works, including several paintings never presented in Nice, the attachments, rituals, idioms related to this civilizational area and the relationship Matisse had with it.
