La bola Negra

Spanish cinema event, La Bola Negra marks the great return of the Los Javis duo. The film connects the fates of three men to three epochs — Republican Spain of 1932, the civil war of 1937 and contemporary Spain of 2017 — united by the same thread of desire, pain and inheritance. His starting point is literary: an unfinished theatrical work by Federico García Lorca, complemented by a piece by Alberto Conejero, co-writer of the film. Los Javis composes a fresco on the memory worn by Penélope Cruz, Lola Dueñas and Miguel Bernardeau. Award of the stage at the Festival de Cannes 2026 — proof that an unfinished text can give a monumental work.
