We were wolves.
For his first fiction feature film, François Busnel, which is known in literary critic and bookseller, adapts the novel by Sandrine Collette, crowned with the Jean Giono Prize and the Renaudot des lycéens 2022. Liam and Ava live far from everything, in wild immensity, with their son Aru. One morning, Liam discovered the fingerprints of a bear and next to his wife’s lifeless body. Their child is alive. Convinced that this world is not made for a little boy, the broken man starts a long horse trip to entrust him to others. The film owes much to the literature until it was made: Busnel co-wrote the script with the novelist Delphine de Vigan, while Sandrine Collette is among the guests of this edition.
