Only what we carry

Toured in six days on the Norman coast in Deauville, this choral and largely improvised drama gathers an amazing distribution. Sofia Boutella embodies Charlotte, former dancer of the Moulin-Rouge who finds his former professor and choreographer, Julian — Simon Pegg —, reclused in a villa at the seaside where he tries to complete the memory of his life. The arrival of John Percy, an old friend and rich patron played by a Quentin Tarantino back in front of the camera, brings back buried truths. At their side, Charlotte Gainsbourg lends her features to Joséphine, the protective sister, in this subtle portrait of desire, grief and creation.
