“JJ follows Friend’s Popo trip to New York in the spring of 2022. In the footsteps of Jill Johnston (1929-2010), their investigation tells through testimonies, archives and fictions the trajectory of this gouine performer celebrated and forgotten. Jill’s multiple facets are as much access to the lesbian heritage, instead of the gouines in art and in militant spaces from 1970 to today.
