The apogee of Imperial France
This historic, lyrical and choreographic show is a new creation of the delegation of the Napoleonic Remembrance of Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes for the Imperial Days 2026.
He staged the apogee of Imperial France between the victory of Wagram in 1809 and the entrance of the Great Army in Moscow in 1812, inspired by the Roman Empire and that of Charlemagne. This show describes France’s supremacy over half of Europe with a legal and administrative, economic, cultural and military unification of the territories concerned.
This historic story of 1:30 is illustrated with songs and music (Lesueur, Lully, Paisiello, Mozart, Vivaldi, Grétry, Haydn, Beethoven...) and dances performed by 6 couples. The text is read by 3 narrators, the songs are interpreted by 25 chorists and 3 soloists (Les Choeurs napoléoniens), accompanied by the electric piano, the mandolin and the cornemuse.
Reconstituters of musicians play military marches to the fifre and drum.
A slide projection accompanies text, songs and music.
