On a silent film background, a rich young man is bored, alone and surrounded by his servants, in his gigantic home. One day, a circus. He recognizes in the stable the girl whom he loved secretly and who has disappeared for several years. He learns from the young woman that he is the father of the young boy who already plays the clown.
The film then became speaking, when the 1929 crisis broke out. Having lost his fortune, the young man joins his little family and all three go on the roads, as a walking circus. The little boy becomes the Yoyo clown. The Second World War broke out. Then Yoyo, a clown, became a producer of shows and began to renovate his father's beautiful home, of which he had always dreamed. But he finally finds no happiness and leaves on the roads.
