I'm me.
INAUGURATION
An invitation to meet oneself, through the image, the gaze and the time.
Friday 6 March, 8 pm - 10 pm
The Musée de la Photographie Charles Nègre inaugurates Mars at the Musées 2026 and opens an introspective journey around the image of self and our multiple facets facing social gaze.
Around the exhibition Justine Tjallinks - Vision and his work on portraiting, photography becomes a mirror: an art capable of revealing our singularity, grasping the uniqueness of a moment and questioning the time that shapes us.
- 8:00 - Welcome of visitors
- 8:10 - Opening speech (Museum Main Hall)
Throughout the event, a photobooth will be at your disposal to keep an instant memory of your evening.
- 20:30 - Projection of the unpublished interview of Justine Tjallinks (Museum Main Hall)
The artist’s reflections on self-image, beauty codes, and his singular approach to the portrait.
- 8:40 - Time capsule: To my future ( Mirrors room)
An intimate moment of correspondence to his future self, associated with the realization of an instant photographic portrait, in an atmosphere conducive to reflection and introspection.
- 8:40 - Meditions about Justine Tjallinks' works
A privileged exchange between students in cultural mediation of the Master 1 EMIC and the public around the works of the photographer.
- 9:15 - Choreographic performance: Rejections under control, by Anna Zweifel and Esteban Lemal Bonilla of the Conservatoire de Nice (Museum Main Hall)
This contemporary dance explores the tension between intimacy and digital eyes. Through the movement, the body becomes a projection surface, which oscillates between what it is, what it shows and what it believes must be.
- 9:30 - Cocktail (Inside)
- 22h - End of the event
Unless otherwise mentioned, Mars events at the Museums are available free of charge, within the limits of the available places. Students and young people under the age of 26. Subject to amendments.
