L’ŒIL ET L’OREILLE
The title of this concert is primarily a way of being attentive. Some musics ask for listening as other works ask for the look: they reveal colors, movements, plans and spaces. When the music meets cinema, this relationship between the eye and the ear becomes explicit. Elsewhere, it remains an invitation to perceive what turns, prolongs or hides inside the sound.
The four works of this program thus offer four very different experiences: exploring the resonance of the piano with Gérard Pesson, renewing the dialogue of the violin and the piano with Zosha Di Castri, putting a musical creation in view of Jean Epstein's images, then entering, with Karlheinz Stockhausen, into a space where electronic sounds and acoustic instruments form the same universe in motion.
The Eye and Eye is co-produced by NIMFA and MIXTES.
