Recognize yourself in a few ways
Inspired by Henri Matisse’s aquatintes, the artist Jonathan Cejudo performs live portraits where the simplification of the line reveals the singularity of each. Participants are then invited to recognize their own portrait among those presented and to take it as a souvenir of the experience.

Participants realize a self-portrait in some essential traits, without looking for resemblance, but the expression of their singularity. Through this activity the public experiments with the principle of variation around the same motive, at the heart of Matisse’s art.
