Performance of the heart and object of the beautiful

On the occasion of the European Night of Museums 2026, the evening will begin with Charlotte Galis, a student at the Pavillon Bosio, Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Plastiques de Monaco, who will perform a shocking sound performance around the beats of his heart. Intitulée"The higher I get, the lower I'll sink", this electro-acoustic creation was designed in collaboration with the conservatory of nice and its digital orchestra, led by Gaël Navard. The artist broadcasts his heartbeat live. Through breathing and muscle tension exercises, it can vary its heart rate and intensity. This performance thus questions the viewer's senses: between visible and invisible.

It will be followed by the Object du Beau, a sensory and immersive performance imagined and interpreted by the students of the Atelier du Beau 2025-2026. This original and immersive creation, mixes dance, theatre, poetry and sound creation, inviting the public to a cosmic and aerial crossing of visual, auditory and olfactory senses, in a lively dialogue with painting.

With the participation of José Santoro, a student in composition at the Conservatoire de Nice and Frédéric Piraino, a multimedia director.

L’Atelier du Beau is an experimental pedagogical device initiated in 2021 by the Marc Chagall National Museum, in partnership with the Direction de la Culture de Université Côte d’Azur. It allows students from all levels and disciplines to learn to aesthetics, to discover the museum’s professions, and to be an actor of creative and sensory mediation in dialogue with Marc Chagall.

The two performances come from the creative workshops organized by the Direction de la Culture, Université Côte d’Azur.
