Stage 3 : Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire/Pouilly-sur-Loire

The Paris-Nice 2026 course was unveiled this Wednesday in Versailles, less than three months from the start of the 84th edition of the Race au Soleil in the Yvelines department.

The peloton will start on Sunday, March 8th from Achères, an unprecedented city on the test, and will rally Nice a week later after overcoming the usual challenges: sprints, edges, team time trial, ribs and big climbs.

The habits will be shattered during the last weekend due to the municipal elections. The Promenade des Anglais will host the start of the 7th stage, Saturday, March 14, and the winner will be dedicated the next day to the Riviera stadium.

It is on this unpublished site that the question of succession will be settled in Matteo Jorgenson. She could play between candidates like Simon Yates (2nd in 2018 and 2022), Joao Almeida (6th in 2025), Juan Ayuso, Cian Uijtdebroeks, Mattias Skjelmose (4th in 2024) or French riders Kévin Vauquelin, Lenny Martinez and David Gaudu (2nd in 2023). On stage victories, Mads Pedersen, Olav Kooij and Michael Matthews have their habits and will try to reoffend.

The list of 22 selected teams was unveiled: in addition to the 18 World Tour and the top three ProTeams (Cofidis, Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team and Tudor Pro Cycling Team), the organizers invited TotalEnergies.
