Nice, between sea and mountain, is an exceptional territory for cycling practice. But the bike is not just the matter of athletes. It is primarily a source of sharing, social cohesion, good health and sustainable development. It is suitable for both daily use, tourist and leisure.
It is therefore quite naturally that Nissa Bicyclette joins with the Cycling and Heritage program to offer fun and sometimes sporty bike rides. A discovery of the places that marked the history of Nice in a new day. To each one his journey according to his desires and form (four levels of difficulty: green, blue, red and black), with family or friends.
The black route offers a climb to the Fort of Mont-Alban, a physical effort and a guaranteed change of scenery, or 22 kms.

Opened in 1770-1772, in the rock of the Castle Hill, the Quai Rauba Capèu connects the Lympia port to the old town. An emblematic place in Nice, it offers an exceptional view of the bay of the Angels. Its name niçois will mean "derobe hat". Open to the four-sales, many aristocrats and bourgeoisy lost their hat to the Belle Époque!

The monument to the dead, located on the southeast side of the Castle Hill, is the work of the architect Roger Séassal and the sculptor Alfred Janniot. He commemorates the 3650 Niçois who fell to the field of honour during the First World War. This cenotaph also repairs contempt. In the first days of the fighting, the XVth corps, composed of meridional soldiers including Niçois, is engaged in the battle of the three borders. As a result of the French retreat and defeat, General Joffre is looking for a bouc-émissaire and accuses the XVth Corps of having backed the enemy. This charge led to a strong anti-provençal feeling of a part of the country.
