Breaks in Nice, the Spaggiari case
Book presentation with Virginie Broquet, artist
"The break of the century": in the night of 17-18 July 1976, a group of criminals entered the safe room of the Societe Generale bank of Nice. Armed with their boots, pocket lamps and slums, they made several hundred safes. The total amount of their goalin exceeds 50 million francs (equivalent to 37 million euros today). It's never seen!
The investigators are hard to trace a man’s track to the profile of everyone: Albert Spaggiari. Placed in police custody, he recognizes the facts, but, a few weeks later, he escapes and leaves on the run.
Virginie Broquet drew this miscellaneous fact in a superb graphic novel she will tell you about the origin.
