Solar disc of Angel Leccia

The works of Ange Leccia constantly question the various media they put into play, combining them, opposing them, showing them through a thematic range such as the sea and other fascinating atmospheric elements because of their rhythmic character. So he chose the sun, a predominant element of the South, to "light"
Station Comte de Falicon. Ange Leccia uses the filmed image in a preponderant way (he has made many films since 1971) or photographic: idleness, photocopies, cuts, tears... These “ Arrangements” are thought of as cinematic moments, He re-conducts them, re-created them and this metamorphosis of the image gives all his power to the imagination. Paradoxically, the “pictures” he creates reveal a profound desire for spectacle.

THE ARTIST
To meet the elements: The Comte de Falicon building takes its place between water, earth and sky. Located in front of the sea, like a monolith, it rises out of earth to heaven. The reconstituted sun that will deploy on its glass facade will be added to these three natural elements. Symbol of the city of the sun: Nice being seen as one of the most sunny cities of the hexagon, a city of light, it is self-evident that the building will metamorphose the night that came, in a luminous anchorage, a central lighthouse, so that the city continues to be radiant. During the day, architecture will capture and assemble the rays of the sun. In twilight with the darkness that will be installed, the building will awaken, animate and restore the beauty, vitality and poetry of this sun that will have shone during the day and whose building will be nourished.
