Pendule “Love covering hours”

The pendulums dedicated to the theme of love covering the hours gave rise to variations illustrated by several tangents including Ravrio and became decorative art objects.

The pendulum of the Museum Masséna represents a woman of back, dressed in a wavy tunic, the head turned to the left, which carries a veil on the clock’s dial. The body of the pendulum is mounted on a knob at the top of a vase from which the guirlandes of flowers flow.

On the left side, Cupidon, a young swollen and winged child carrying a quiver, a brandon and a swarm, lays a foot on a pile of books. The sides of the pendulum’s body are decorated with a decorative plate combining wings, quiveres and brandons. The rotating dial is marked "Ravrio, tan à Paris".

Ravrio decorated with bronzes many furniture and created all kinds of objects: pendulums, arms of lights, girandoles, chenets, porcelain mounts, bronzes of furniture.
