Space 8 - The men of Terra Amata

The men who lived in Terra Amata were part of the species Homo tautavelensis, Homo erectus Europeans, sometimes called Homo heidelbergensis. They had to look like the man of Tautavel, who dates from a slightly older age. His forehead was low and smoky and had a thick executioner above his eyes. Its face was wide with rectangular orbits. His mandibula (lower jaw) was characterized by a lack of chin. His brain size was 1,100 cm3, while ours was 1,400 cm3. Terra Amata man was to be very robust for an average size of 1.55 to 1.60 metres.
