Sending a message to aliens is possible: it is enough to mobilize an entire scientific program, giant antennas and a suspicion of collective boldness. But to tell his hairdresser that we don’t like his cut, it remains a much more complex challenge...With "Arecibo", Louis Cattelat transforms the scene into a field of listening and self-denial, between cosmic poetry and terrian interrogations. Inspired by the famous message sent in space in 1974, he invites us to dream together, to tender the ear to mysterious waves and to explore, with humour - sometimes black - and sensitivity, which connects us: on Earth and perhaps well beyond.
