Between shade and light: French rape

In the heart of the French Grand Century, the viola of gambe reigns in sovereign over royal lounges and apartments. Between the contemplative depth of Sainte-Colombe, the incomparable elegance of Marin Marais, the finesse of Morel and the virtuoso daring of Forqueray, this program retraces the history of an instrument that became one of the most beautiful voices of the French Baroque, sublimated by the intimate dialogue with the harpsichord.

Several educational actions (masterclasses, meetings with the viola classes of gambe and common hearings) will be organized around this concert.
