Muovere gli affetti : from Rome to Paris

At the crossroads of French and Italian traditions, this programme highlights two major figures of the 17th century: Marc-Antoine Charpentier and Giacomo Carissimi.Reuniting soprano, bass continues and choir, he invites to discover rare, sometimes unpublished works, where the expressive richness of the text reveals the depth of baroque aesthetics. Resident orchestra of the Cultural Centre of La Providence, the ensemble of La Société de Musique Ancienne also conducts concerts and awareness-raising activities aimed at discovering old music and instruments, especially among young audiences.
