This film-concert offers a unique musical and cinema experience, a contemporary rereading of the American comedy The Freshman (in French Vive le sport !), film in black and white and muet by Sam Taylor and Fred C. Newmeyer (1925).
The Franco-Italian duo Mauro Coceano and Olivier Lagodzki take over this burlesque masterpiece, carried by Harold Lloyd for a total sound performance. The film becomes a live score that musicians reinvent live. Between improvisation and complicity, each representation is a unique moment.
NIMFA is an event dedicated to contemporary musical creation, interdisciplinarity and innovation, the 2nd edition of the Nice International Music Festival and Academy takes place in Nice from 17 to 27 Nov. 2026 in various locations of the city, including the Francis-Gag Theatre. With the support of the Conseil départemental des Alpes Maritimes.
