Pauline Croze + 1st part : Fanny

Pauline Croze A discreet and mysterious woman, an immediately identifiable voice, a particular guitar game, and light or upsetting songs — including "You're beautiful", taken over by Imany and Angèle. Revealed to the Transmusicales in Rennes in 2003, a gold disc from its first eponymous album in 2005, Pauline Croze has since been followed by a faithful audience. She traced singular paths from one album to another: the jazz and soul sounds of Un bruit qui court, the more abstract explorations of the Eden Prize, an escapade bossa nova, then the acoustic colors of Ne rien faire and the urban pop of After the grey hours.

She comes back with Day rises, a hypnotic journey between dream pop and cinema poetry - somewhere between Sade's sensuality, Mac DeMarco's nonchalance and Nick Drake's romanticism. From texts to vibrant images, navigating between mantras and litanies, which speak of visible and invisible, sacred, light ivres and resigned voluptuousness. And a small soldier with fine, obstinate and secret skin, lost between love disillusionment and desire.

TEASER Pauline Croze1st part: Fanny

Fanny is a singer born in Marseille and grew up in Nice in a family of musicians. Formed from childhood at the conservatory (cross flute), she began to compose in adolescence under the influence of her trombonist and arranger father. She performs on stage from 13 years in the Niçoise region, developing a multi-instrumental practice (clavier, guitar) and an early live experience. In 2022 she joined the members of the group La Femme as a live singer and keyboardist, participating in more than three years of international tours (Europe, United States, Latin America, Australia) and major festivals such as Rock en Seine, Les Francofolies, Les Eurockéennes, Solidays, Osheaga or Lollapalooza. This experience then nourishes his solo project. His solo universe is built around songs in French with yé-yé and orchestral pop influences, mixing strings, vintage synthesizers and melodic bass. Inspired by Françoise Hardy, SergeGainsbourg, the Beatles or Lana Del Rey, she develops an aesthetic between modernity and sixties sonorities. His texts address love, the sea, the boredom and the seasons, with an intimate writing and anchored in the south of France.
