The Gauls
At the edge of a undergrowth, in a fantasy Gaul, two wild boars pass, quiet, before crumbling in a ditch. The decor is planted. Marion Aubert's mordant text reveals what is hidden under the myths and great stories. In the skin of Gaulois barbus and hairy, Thomas Blanchard and Olivier Martin-Salvan imagine a play area impregnated with erudite culture as well as pop culture and make us oscillate between laughter and concern, for an unusual and joyfully disturbing spectacle.
"The Gauls" is an unexpected theatrical adventure. The actors Thomas Blanchard and Olivier Martin-Salvan ordered Marion Aubert, autrice au verb acéré. A time of delirious theater, which assumes excess, game and freedom!

Intention
It is above all a project of actors: to meet for a “Guloise” performance. It’s been fifteen years since we’ve been working together on different projects and finding ourselves together to invent this show side by side is an evidence for us. Our complicity, our knowledge of each other, naturally leads us to confront our identities, a becketti sky above our heads. This adventure is an opportunity to team up again with Marion Aubert, an instigator of our meeting in 2010 (in the play Orgueil, prosecution and decapitation, directed by Marion Guerrero). The engine of the play will be the pleasure of being the interpreters of his writing with devastating humour, who is free from all the conventions, from all academia, and to carry his inventions, his visions, his poetic fulgurances.Thomas Blanchard, Olivier Martin-Salvan
