Little Walk to Hell

Orpheus loves Eurydice, but this one dies the day of their wedding. Guided by the gods, he begins a crossing of the Hells to bring her back to life, confronted with furies and fantasy creatures with, for sole power, her lyre and the formal prohibition to return before having found the light. The most difficult will remain the return: resisting the desire to see Eurydice, whose impatience and tempered character put his oath to the test.

Dressed in the TNN where she presented with Christian Hecq "20 000 Placees under the seas", "La Mouche", "Les Sisters Hilton" or "Le Voyage de Gulliver", Valérie Lesort returns with a fairy and marvellous rereading of the lyrical opera "Orphee and Eurydice" by Gluck. A funny, tender and delightful journey!

True to the original but free work in the tone, Valérie Lesort insuffles humour and fantasy to this Western opera, in a miniature visual universe of an inventiveness.

Intention

With "Petite Balade aux enfers", I wish to present an opera accessible to all. I imagined this project as a "Orpheus and Eurydice" in a reduced version, interpreted by "mini singers" - hybrid puppets - in a "mini Opéra Comique" ambulant. The characters are approached with humour and lightness, while remaining faithful to the original work. My adaptation of this classic of opera is spoken and sung, in the purest tradition of the comedy opera. The three singer-songwriters appear in the form of hybrid puppets, semi-marion, half-human creatures. Valérie Lesort
