Overturned
On the plateau, two women face each other: Cécile, in the present of the representation, and Anne, who died a few years ago trying to save two children from drowning. They share a disturbing story, that of a man whose life shifts a summer afternoon, when he saves a child fallen into the water. From this suspended moment is a deep and indescribable disorder that will cease to haunt its existence. What is the one who saves?
In this new creation, the stage designer Noëmie Ksicova takes over a chapter of the book In case of love of psychoanalyst and philosopher Anne Dufourmantelle to make it the subject of a sensitive and dizzy theatre.
By carrying it on stage, Noëmie Ksicova gives body to his thought, attentive to the fragile and contradictory areas of the human soul, of our most obscure impulses to our irrepressible desire for life.
Intention
To plunge into the work of Anne Dufourmantelle is to engage in the difficult terrains of our humanity. It’s getting out of what we thought to understand, what we thought to know. The theatre stage is for me the place of interrogations that are vital to me, which I pose through a fiction.To tell this story is a necessity. By what she has to do with dizziness in me, of course, but also by what she asks us. This story requires listening, going beyond what appears to us at first sight. Don't look too fast.
