Imminentes

The more Jann Gallois looks at women, the more she recognizes herself in them, in their strength and in their gentle power. With Imminentes, the choreographer continues his ambition to make dance a humanist language. His work consists of writing with the bodies by sculpting movement in space and time. A dramatic show, to see, to feel and to let resonate long after.

From various backgrounds, from hip-hop to contemporary dance, the six dancers unite in a collective breath, hypnotizing fresco where each movement becomes an act of resistance and hope. Sometimes witches, goddess or nymphs, they embody the plurality of the feminine and the ability of life to assert themselves despite the violence of the world. Their murmur, first discreet, gradually gives way to powerful cries. The sororority that brings them together reminds us that, in spite of conflicts, a common and unchanging energy inspires us.

IntentionThis show is a penetrating and transcendent tideA huge synergistic waveA quiet forceA murmur that has become muggedA breath that can move mountainsTo allow us to imagine the future otherwiseI want to bare the bonds that unite beings and thingsI want to say it as a womanAnd I want it to be said by other women than me through this piece Jann Gallois
