Terra Amata Museum

Located on the very site of the search of the site of the same name which has delivered among the oldest homes in the history of humanity, dating from 400,000 years old, the museum proposes to discover the life of the first niçois. The climate was warmer than today. In the beautiful season, they installed their cabin on the beach, at the bottom of a creek, near a source. They hunted elephants, rhinoceros, deer, aurochs and wild boars. Their tools, choppers, axes or bifaces were mainly made from the pebbles collected on the beach.
